My son woke us up early in the AM to tell us about the weather forecast for the week. There are thunderstorms forecast for several days this week. He wanted to know if we would be able to swim. It seemed like a reasonable question; just not one I wanted to wake up to answer.
But, so far, there has been plenty of time to swim.
And it wouldn't be vacation without playing some games. We played Risk Monday night. I was unlucky enough to start out with several territories in Asia. You can't defend Asia at the beginning of Risk and hope to win.
My daughter, who is 14, is one of the many girls this week reading the final book in the Twilight series. The amazing thing about this is that just a few years ago, she told us that she "wasn't a reader" and "books were boring".
Thank you Stephenie Meyer for changing her mind.

I'm glad she wants to read, but #4 is just terrible. K
